When Should Dubai Businesses Start Planning Q4 2026 Social Media Campaigns?
Start now. If you want Q4 2026 to work in the UAE, your plan should be agreed in August and every piece of creative should be finished and loaded by 15 October. That is not me being dramatic about lead times. UAE ad costs climb by roughly 40 to 60% between September and the White Friday peak, so the businesses that brief late end up paying the most for the worst placements. Here is the Q4 2026 calendar that actually matters in Dubai, and the order to work backwards from.
The Q4 2026 dates that matter in the UAE
The UAE Q4 is not the same as the Western Q4. Our commercial peak sits in a tight six-week window from late October to mid December, and it is driven by four things:
- Dubai Fitness Challenge, 31 October to 29 November 2026. The tenth edition, and a full month of free classes and outdoor events across the city. Huge for gyms, clinics, F&B, activewear and anything wellness adjacent.
- White Friday, 28 November 2026. The region's Black Friday, running roughly four days from the fourth Friday in November. This is the single most competitive advertising weekend of the UAE year.
- Eid Al Etihad, 1 to 3 December 2026. Commemoration Day on 1 December and UAE National Day on 2 December. Spending lifts across retail, F&B, hospitality and services, and the tone shifts from discount to national pride.
- GITEX Global, 7 to 11 December 2026, at Expo City Dubai. If you sell B2B, tech or professional services, this is your December.
Then Dubai Shopping Festival and New Year roll straight in behind. There is no quiet week between mid October and January.
Why waiting until November costs you more
This is the part most business owners underestimate. UAE Meta CPMs typically sit in the mid-teens in dollar terms through July and August. From September onwards they climb steadily, and across the White Friday and National Day window they push into the low twenties. At the sharpest points of the auction, brands see cost increases north of 60% against their summer baseline.
Nothing about your ads got worse. You are simply bidding against every retailer, restaurant and property developer in the country at the same moment, all of whom decided in October that Q4 was important.
Two things follow from that. First, your Q4 budget needs a 40 to 60% uplift to buy the same amount of attention you buy in August. Second, and more useful, anything you can do before the auction heats up is cheap. Building your audiences, growing your email and WhatsApp list, and warming people with organic content in September and early October costs a fraction of what it costs to buy that same attention in the last week of November.
The backwards plan, week by week
Work back from 15 October and it becomes very manageable:
- August: decide which two moments you are actually going to own, and set the budget. Not five moments. Two.
- Early September: write the offer and the creative brief. Book the shoot. Get sign-off on discounts, stock and landing pages now, because that is what always slips.
- Mid September: shoot everything in one or two content days. Vertical video first, then cut stills and graphic design assets from the same session. One shoot should produce six to eight weeks of content.
- Early October: build the campaigns, write the captions, schedule the organic calendar, warm the audiences with content that costs you nothing.
- 15 October: everything is live-ready. From here you are optimising, not creating.
- Late October to December: run, watch, reallocate budget daily during peak weeks.
Pick two moments, not six
The most common Q4 mistake I see in Dubai is spreading a modest budget across every date on the calendar. A restaurant does a Fitness Challenge post, a White Friday offer, a National Day graphic and a New Year promotion, and none of them get enough weight to register.
Pick the two windows where your customer is genuinely already in a buying mood, and put everything behind those. A gym should own the Fitness Challenge and largely ignore White Friday. An e-commerce brand should own White Friday and treat National Day as brand content rather than a sales push. A B2B consultancy should ignore both and build around GITEX.
What to have finished before 15 October
A simple readiness checklist. If you can tick these, you are in good shape:
- The offer itself, agreed and signed off, including what happens if stock runs out.
- All video and photography shot and edited. Nine to sixteen vertical as the default, with square and story crops from the same footage.
- Arabic and English versions of your key assets, with Arabic leading on National Day work.
- Landing pages, WhatsApp flows and booking links tested on mobile.
- Your Advertiser Permit in order if you are promoting in the UAE, and any creator agreements signed.
- A pixel or conversions API firing correctly, with at least four weeks of data behind it before peak.
The organic side people forget
Paid gets all the Q4 attention, but the cheapest reach in November is the audience you already built in September. Post consistently through the quiet weeks. Answer every comment and DM. Build the WhatsApp broadcast list. When CPMs spike, an engaged organic audience and a warm list are the two assets that keep your cost per sale sane.

Key takeaways
- Plan Q4 2026 in August and have every asset finished by 15 October.
- The UAE peak runs 31 October to 11 December: Fitness Challenge, White Friday on 28 November, Eid Al Etihad 1 to 3 December, then GITEX.
- Budget a 40 to 60% uplift, because UAE CPMs rise sharply from September onwards.
- Choose two moments and fund them properly instead of spreading the budget across six.
- Build audiences, lists and organic engagement in September while attention is still cheap.
Frequently asked questions
When exactly should I start planning Q4 social media in the UAE?
Start in August. That gives you roughly six weeks to choose your moments, brief and shoot content, and build campaigns before the 15 October deadline when UAE ad auctions begin heating up. Businesses that start in November are buying attention at the most expensive point of the year.
When is White Friday 2026 in the UAE?
White Friday falls on 28 November 2026. Most UAE retailers run promotions for around four days from the fourth Friday in November, and the heaviest ad competition sits in the week either side of that date.
How much more do social media ads cost in the UAE during Q4?
Expect to pay 40 to 60% more. UAE Meta CPMs typically sit in the mid-teens in dollar terms through July and August, then climb towards the low twenties across September to November as White Friday and National Day budgets land in the auction.
How many Q4 campaigns should a small UAE business run?
Two. Pick the two moments where your customer is genuinely already buying and run those properly, rather than spreading a small budget thinly across Dubai Fitness Challenge, White Friday, National Day, GITEX and New Year.
Do I need Arabic content for UAE National Day campaigns?
Yes, and it should lead. National Day and Eid Al Etihad content performs best with Arabic as the primary language, the UAE flag palette, and messaging tied to national pride rather than a straight discount.
